Who we are

Local care.
Living places.

The Milwaukee Sylvestral Conservation Foundation is a volunteer-led organization focused on community participation and care for the natural spaces around us.

Our approach

Conservation is a practice, not just an idea.

We believe healthy parks and woodlands are strengthened by people who know them, spend time in them, and take responsibility for their care.

As a volunteer-led organization, we grow through shared effort. That can include helping at events, learning about local ecology, documenting changes in a place, connecting neighbors, or supporting practical stewardship projects.

Our work and priorities will continue to develop with the people who participate. We aim to make conservation approachable, useful, and rooted in the Milwaukee community.

What guides us

Learn together

Make room for questions, observation, and knowledge shared across experience levels.

03

Show up

04

Work openly

Keep participation welcoming and communicate clearly about plans and needs.
